Winter Holy Days

Meditation for the Holy Days

Wednesday, December 19 • 6 – 9 pm

Rev. Ellen Grace O’Brian and CSE Ministers
Music with Gitanjali
Meditation is a doorway to our inner riches, or gifts of the spirit, that are
revealed to us as we enter God's holy temple of silence. This extended medita-
tion during the holy days is a tradition begun by Paramahansa Yogananda,
who encouraged devotees to find balance and true satisfaction during this
time of holiday festivities by communing deeply with God through silent
meditation and devotional chanting. Everyone is welcome. Come—sit quietly,
reflect, sing, meditate, enjoy.

Winter Solstice Mass

Sunday, December 23 • 9 and 11 am

Open your eyes and you shall behold the glory of God—the vast vista of God’s

light spreading over all things. I am telling you to be divine realists, and you will
find the answer to all questions in God.

—Paramahansa Yogananda

This service celebrates the one divine light of all people and all faiths. Let us

be divine realists and bring forth this spiritual realization as peace, wisdom,
and love in our own lives and in our world.

With the beautiful ritual of the burning bowl we make offerings of frank-
incense on this holy day, and offer our pure intentions to live a spiritually
awakened life, so that the omnipresent Christ, the indwelling Lord of Love,
may be born anew within our hearts.
