Safe Yoga for the Low Back

For thousands of years,

 

hatha yoga has been practiced to increase 

strength, stamina and flexibility, increase blood circulation, balance the flow 
of internal energies, massage the internal organs, and prepare the physical 
systems for meditation and deeper spiritual practice. In modern times, yoga is 
also being practiced for its ability to relieve stress, reduce chronic pain, and for 
support in healing and rehabilitation from injury and deterioration. Studies 
have shown that practicing yoga postures can help in recovery from an acute 
or old injury and in the prevention of a new injury.
