In your book, The Four Desires: Creating 

a Life of Purpose, Happiness, Prosperity and Freedom, 

you speak of four essential desires for fulfilling our soul’s 

purpose which are drawn from the Vedic teaching of 

Purushartha (“for the sake of the soul”). These four goals 

are: dharma, divine purpose; artha, prosperity or means; 

kama, pleasure, and moksha, liberation. How do these 

goals connect to our life purpose?
