circumstances and supportive influ-

ences. With a peaceful, contented heart

and mind, we can see clearly, choose

wisely, and act in harmony with our

highest good. Going beyond clinging

to joy or resisting sorrow is practiced

by those who know that the highest

happiness is found in the soul’s pure

freedom. When Mahatma Gandhi was

asked to sum up his philosophy of life,

he responded with only three words,

echoing the perennial wisdom found

in the Bhagavad Gita:

renounce

and enjoy!

classes are an exploration of the universal
